Job summary

NAVA Software is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead complex data engineering projects, focused on designing scalable data architectures and optimizing pipelines. This remote role emphasizes data quality, governance, and collaboration with business units to deliver actionable insights.

The candidate will drive data platform improvements using PySpark, Python, and DBT, while coordinating with cloud services (AWS) and modern data tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT experience with minimum 5 years in data engineering
• Strong experience in Python and PySpark for data processing
• Proficiency in SQL and big data with Informatica ETL
• Data quality and optimization of data lake in Iceberg format
• Experience in AWS cloud data services (S3, Redshift, Lambda, EMR, Airflow, Postgres, SNS, EventBridge)

Responsibilities

• Leads development of data pipelines and architectures that handle large-scale data sets
• Designs, constructs, and tests data architecture aligned with business requirements
• Provides technical leadership for data projects, ensuring best practices and high-quality data solutions
• Collaborates with product, finance, and other units to ensure data pipelines meet requirements
• Work with DBT for transforming raw data to insights
• Oversees development of data solutions enabling predictive and prescriptive analytics
• Ensures technical quality of solutions as data moves across environments
• Aligns data architecture to Healthfirst solution architecture
