Job summary

Reach Financial is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead data platform modernization. You will build and maintain pipelines, data models, and transformations, setting up scalable data practices across the engineering org.

You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to translate requirements into robust technical solutions and stay ahead with emerging data tools and practices. This role offers remote work within the United States and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on data engineering
• Proficient in dbt development and Bronze/Silver/Gold layers
• Strong SQL and NoSQL knowledge
• Experience with Airflow, Dagster, or similar tools
• Experience with automated data quality checks and dbt testing
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control
• Snowflake deployment and performance optimization
• Experience with ETL from SaaS systems (e.g., Salesforce)
• dbt Cloud or similar transformation tools
• Infrastructure as Code tooling and database change management

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage data pipelines, models, and artifacts for our data platform modernization
• Champion data quality, testing, and documentation
• Collaborate with Data, Software, and Platform Engineers to improve data tooling and infra
• Translate data requirements from data scientists and analysts into technical solutions
• Stay current with data engineering tools and evaluate new solutions
• Collaborate with Platform Engineers to enable CI/CD and IaC for pipelines
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure data quality, reliability, and availability
• Document data pipelines, models, and engineering processes
