Job summary

Reach Financial LLC. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to drive the modernization of Reach’s data platform. You will build and maintain pipelines, models, and transformations, establishing scalable practices across the engineering organization.

You will collaborate with Data, Software, and Platform Engineers, data scientists, and analysts to understand requirements and deliver robust data solutions. A strong focus on data quality, documentation, and telemetry will be essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on data engineering experience with modern data stacks.
• Strong proficiency in dbt development and Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Extensive SQL and NoSQL knowledge and data modeling skills.
• Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow/Dagster).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based deployment for data workflows.
• Production experience with Snowflake deployments and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating SaaS data sources (e.g., Salesforce) via ETL tools.
• Experience with Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage data pipelines, data models, schemas, and data artifacts as a core contributor to the data squad.
• Champion data engineering best practices: data quality, version control, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Data, Software, and Platform Engineers to improve engineering practices and tooling.
• Partner with data scientists and analysts to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Stay current with emerging data tech and evaluate new tools for Reach's data ecosystem.
• Collaborate on CI/CD and IaC integrations (GitHub Actions, Terraform).
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure data quality, reliability, and availability.
• Document data pipelines, models, and engineering processes.
