Job summary

Eliassen Group seeks a senior Data Engineer to drive a new Identity and Access Management initiative. You will design and evolve low-latency GraphQL APIs and data pipelines supporting developer workflows across the enterprise, with a focus on microservices on AWS and production observability.

The team is small, fully remote, aligned to EST hours, with a potential conversion after one interview. W2 consultants receive medical, dental, vision, 401k matching, and life insurance benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data engineering and backend service experience.
• Hands-on GraphQL API design and implementation.
• Proficient with PySpark or Scala/Spark and batch processing.
• Experience with Snowflake and scalable data pipelines.
• Advanced AWS experience focusing on Lambda, ECS, and DynamoDB.
• Experience delivering low-latency microservices at scale.
• Ability to work in a small, high-impact team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain low-latency GraphQL APIs.
• Develop data pipelines using PySpark/Spark, Snowflake, and AWS Glue.
• Implement microservices on AWS including Lambda, ECS, and DynamoDB.
• Ingest, transform, and serve data for API responses with strong data modeling.
• Set up monitoring, observability, and alerting for APIs and data jobs.
• Collaborate with IAM stakeholders on risk-identification initiative.
• Contribute to architecture, security, and performance reviews of cloud services.
• Work within EST hours in a fully remote environment.
