State of NY DFS is seeking a Data Engineer for a 30-month engagement in New York, NY, delivering robust data pipelines, governance, and financial reporting support. This role requires deep expertise across data engineering, architecture, and QA for regulatory data.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years, strong SQL/RDBMS, and hands-on experience with Snowflake and Tableau, plus Python/R automation. Remote work arrangements are supported. Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of data engineering experience.
• 84 months of experience in data engineering, architecture, data governance, or data quality assurance for financial reporting.
• 84 months of SQL and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) experience, including querying complex datasets.
• 84 months of compiling, computing, and validating financial data using advanced statistical formulas and model calculations.
• 48 months of building and maintaining data workflows and data pipelines from business requirements.
• 36 months of automating data ingestion and reporting with Python, R, or Excel VBA.
• 36 months of data visualization using BI tools (Tableau preferred).
• 24 months of cloud-based data platforms, preferably Snowflake.
• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (CS, Statistics, Finance, or related).
