Job summary

SHI One is an exciting team within SHI's Advanced Solutions Group building new digital experiences for internal users, customers, and partners. The Senior Data Engineer will lead data engineering and ETL workflow development, collaborate with stakeholders, and guide the design of centralized data platforms to support business operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
• 10+ years developing data applications, relational databases, and ETL platforms.
• Experience building scalable ETL systems for critical business operations.
• Expert knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.
• Expert SQL scripting.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to present ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to shift priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong independent and team-working capabilities.
• Proactive task prioritization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Drive organizational data strategy and design data warehouses and analytics systems.
• Coach team members through code and design reviews to maintain standards.
• Ship high-quality solutions and uphold technical excellence.
• Coordinate with development teams, stakeholders, and customers for smooth data system operations.
• Support a dataengineering environment focused on developer experience and testing efficiency.
• Recommend improvements to data and ETL processes.
• Contribute to end-to-end data architecture including technology selection, design, and testing.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
