First Citizens Bank is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Platform Engineering Team. This remote role will support cloud-based data solutions, data warehousing, and scalable data pipelines across the organization.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Python and SQL, and can collaborate with product partners and business stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in data engineering, data warehousing or cloud data platforms.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma/GED with 8+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support scalable data pipelines and data warehouses in cloud environments.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes, data integrations and transformation frameworks.
• Implement data quality controls, testing and dbt tests for trusted data assets.
• Optimize pipeline performance, monitoring, automation and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions and dashboards.
