Job summary

Jobot, a growing insurance tech company, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a remote role with Chicago-area collaboration. Strong Python/SQL and distributed data experience are essential, along with Kubernetes, AWS/GCP, and Snowflake proficiency.

You will work on dimensional modeling projects (Kimball, Data Vault, or Medallion Architecture) and use dbt with Dagster/Airflow to automate pipelines. Occasional in-person meetings in Chicago may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• Strong Python and SQL.
• Distributed data and Kubernetes experience.
• AWS and/or GCP.
• Snowflake preferred.
• Experience with Dimensional Modeling (Kimball/Data Vault/Medallion).
• dbt and Dagster/Airflow chops.
• Willing to meet in person in Chicago on occasion.
