Job summary

Re:Build is seeking a Data Engineer who designs and implements scalable solutions, collaborating across product, build, and QA teams. The role emphasizes AI-supported tooling, code quality, and end-to-end feature delivery in a fast-paced environment.

You will contribute to architectures, write clean code, and participate in CI/CD, testing, and observability practices while aligning with The Re:Build Way. Domestic travel is required as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development in production environments.
• Proficiency with multiple programming languages and software stacks.
• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, S3, API Gateway).
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools in a professional setting.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, testing, and observability.
• Willingness to travel.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software design and architecture for scalable systems.
• Develop and enhance features with maintainable, efficient code.
• Identify and resolve bugs; optimize performance and scalability.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality.
• Write and maintain automated tests for reliable releases.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards.
• Pilot and adopt emerging AI-powered engineering tools and workflows.
• Collaborate with QA, Product Management, and DevOps for end-to-end delivery.
• Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and user documentation.
