Job summary

Re:Build Manufacturing is seeking a Mid-Level Data Engineer to design and implement scalable solutions, collaborating with product, build, QA, and DevOps, and applying AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery. You will contribute to software architecture, review code, and help establish CI/CD, testing, and observability standards while working remotely with quarterly travels to Los Angeles, CA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience writing software in production environments.
• Understanding of software technologies across multiple programming languages.
• Experience with design patterns, algorithms, and CS fundamentals.
• Experience with Web, Windows Desktop, Cloud, and IoT stacks.
• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, API Gateway).
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools in a professional setting.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE or related field (or equivalent).
• Willingness to travel.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software design and architecture for scalable, reliable systems.
• Develop and enhance features with maintainable, efficient code.
• Identify and resolve bugs, optimize performance and scalability.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery and debugging while maintaining code quality.
• Write and maintain automated tests for reliable releases.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Pilot and adopt emerging AI-powered engineering tools and workflows.
• Collaborate with QA, Product Management, and DevOps for end-to-end delivery.
• Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and user documentation.
