Job summary

Trility Consulting LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Data Consultant to modernize an Azure Synapse data platform and migrate workloads to Microsoft Fabric. You’ll design metadata-driven ingestion, build scalable data pipelines, and oversee validation to ensure migration accuracy.

You’ll collaborate with client engineers and Trility consultants, leveraging Claude Code to guide development and maintain quality across a modern lakehouse environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with Azure Data Services and modern data platforms.
• Hands-on Fabric production experience and lakehouse architectures.
• Proven ETL/ELT pipeline development experience.
• Experience in metadata-driven ingestion and configuration-based onboarding.
• Spark notebooks/transformations with PySpark or Spark SQL.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of T-SQL logic.
• Experience Git-based CI/CD for data artifacts.
• AI-assisted code review using Claude Code.
• Data migration validation and data quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and refine Microsoft Fabric architecture and ingestion patterns.
• Design metadata-driven ingestion frameworks for onboarding new sources.
• Migrate data sources from Azure Synapse to Fabric and manage lakehouse pipelines.
• Develop and orchestrate Fabric pipelines and Spark notebooks (PySpark, Spark SQL).
• Translate complex Synapse workflows into Fabric solutions and validate migrations.
• Establish data validation, reconciliation, and CDC strategies.
• Implement GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps CI/CD for Fabric artifacts.
• Collaborate with client engineers and Trility consultants on architecture decisions.
• Leverage Claude Code to guide implementation specs and review generated code.
• Assess catalog options like Microsoft Purview for governance and lineage.
