Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking a Senior Telecommunication Designer - Data Centers to shape the future of data centers and critical facilities. You will collaborate with in-house engineering and architecture teams to ensure designs meet industry standards from scope development through commissioning.

This role offers a hybrid or remote schedule, a competitive salary of 95k–125k USD per year, a target bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Fifteen+ years as a designer at SSOE or nineteen+ years total experience.
• 3–5 years of telecommunications design experience in data center projects.
• Working knowledge of data center concepts and availability requirements.
• Ability to prepare and manage schedules, cable matrices, and coordination documents.
• Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of TIA, BICSI, NEC codes.

Responsibilities

• Design telecommunications and low-voltage infrastructure for data centers.
• Prepare complete design and construction documentation (plans, layouts, rack elevations, pathways, schedules).
• Coordinate telecommunications systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and IT stakeholders.
• Respond to RFIs and review contractor submittals for design intent; participate in closeout documentation.
