Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related scientific/technical discipline.
• 8 years of experience in cyber security; 4 additional years of relevant experience may substitute for education.
• CISSP or equivalent IT security certification.
• Expert knowledge of cyber security policy, threat mitigation, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks.
• Proficiency in developing long‑term strategies and knowledge of various cyber threats and mitigation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and provide consultative support on system security assessment and authorization for the VA.
• Coordinate and lead security and privacy activities within project teams.
• Perform cyber security and information system risk analysis and vulnerability assessments.
• Translate NIST control security language to appropriate operating system actions.
