Flagstar Bank seeks a Senior Credit Products Specialist - Private Banking to structure, negotiate, and manage highly complex commercial credit relationships across relevant lines of business. You will influence credit strategy, lead negotiations, and guide junior professionals while ensuring portfolio health and adherence to regulatory standards in a high-impact environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; or 12+ years equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10+ years in commercial credit analysis, structuring, underwriting, portfolio management and risk analysis.
• 10+ years in the direct specialized line of business (Specialized commercial industries, capital markets, corporate commercial banking, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Lead complex credit structuring and underwriting for highly complex transactions.
• Monitor portfolio risk and identify industry trends and economic factors affecting credit quality.
• Engage with sales and senior leadership, offering expertise in negotiations and deal execution.
• Negotiate credit agreements with clients, legal counsel, and internal teams.
• Mentor junior credit professionals and develop best practices in credit risk management.
• Use independent judgement to manage the assigned portfolio and resolve issues.
• Perform special projects and ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
