Job summary

DEPT® is seeking a strategic Freelance Senior Copywriter with performance marketing experience to shape a brand voice across channels, translating complex tech concepts into compelling copy for developers. You will collaborate with Strategy, Creative, Design, Content Creation, and Partnerships teams to bring ideas to life.

The role is freelance, starts ASAP, and runs through the end of 2026, with a pay rate of $70-80/hr. Healthcare, 401k, PTO, and holidays are part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a creative advertising role or startup environment.
• Experience working with major tech brands.
• Performance marketing experience.
• Deep knowledge of social platforms and best practices (TikTok, Meta, YouTube, X, Snapchat).
• Fluency with Google Suite and Slack.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and articulate original concepts that inspire audiences and drive engagement.
• Deliver high-quality work from ideation to final copy.
• Set the brand voice standard across platforms, in-asset and accompanying copy.
• Attend shoots, events, and product launches to capture content.
• Develop messaging for campaigns.
• Translate technical product features into clear, benefit-driven messaging for B2B personas.
• Support develop strategic narratives to win clients.
• Offer informed perspectives to elevate team output.
• Collaborate with Strategy, Creative, Design, Content Creation, Delivery, and Client Partnerships teams.
• Leverage latest tech and platforms to expand reach.
