Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Contracts Senior Principal to lead contracts and proposal activity within the Air Force, Space and Intelligence Business Group. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related, 15 years experience; or Master's degree with 13 years; additional 4+ years may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Extensive cost proposal experience.
• Thorough understanding of contract administration principles, FAR, RFO, Truthful Cost or Pricing Data, and GAAP.
• Strong knowledge of federal contracting practices and OTA processes.
• Proven experience in contract risk management and negotiation.
• Strong proposal writing skills across FAR-based and non-FAR environments.
• Ability to synthesize complex legal/contractual topics and communicate them clearly.
• Excellent organizational and priority-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary strategic interface with customer contacts and lead negotiations while protecting SAIC's interests.
• Advise on OTA, CSO, BAA, and prototype proposal strategies and related trade-offs.
• Structure and negotiate teaming with NTDCs to position SAIC for success.
• Draft OCI mitigation plans and drive mitigation strategy across the program lifecycle.
• Review contractual documents for policy, government specs, and master agreements; escalate when needed.
• Educate internal and external partners on contracting strategies and market dynamics.
• Apply strategic thinking to drive innovation within evolving regulatory landscapes.
