Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Senior Compliance Auditor (RN) to join our remote team. This role focuses on auditing skilled home health, hospice, PCS, and behavioral health, driving education based on findings and guiding policy updates.

The position requires a Registered Nurse with extensive coding/billing audit experience and leadership capabilities. You will report to the Compliance Audit Manager and play a key role in preventing issues, ensuring regulatory alignment, and supporting operational

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Five years’ experience in corporate compliance healthcare coding/billing audits
• Minimum of two years of demonstrated leadership ability
• Certified Homecare Coding Specialist (HCS-D) or Certified OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C), or willingness to obtain within one year
• Registered Nurse with home health and hospice coding experience
• Minimal travel required

Responsibilities

• Participates in comprehensive or stratified audits related to skilled home health, hospice, PCS, and behavioral health
• Audits billing compliance trends and educates agency leaders based on those trends
• Provides recommendations to the Billing Compliance Audit team
• Prepares written audit results for reporting to agency leaders after finalizing findings
• Assists in development of compliance and quality education, updates to policies and SOPs
• Ensures audits are accurate prior to finalization and that staff understand billing rules
