Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Ten years of experience in complex claims handling or claims litigation, including at least three years of claims litigation.
• Insurance designations such as AIC, CPCU or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly handles EMC's most complex casualty and litigated claims nationwide.
• Models best claims handling practices while managing expenses and pursuing early resolution.
• Provides expert guidance on coverage issues and sets reserves with consideration of exposure and liability.
• Investigates coverage, liability, and damages; engages vendors as needed.
• Prepares timely claim evaluations and file reviews; develops and executes negotiation plans.
• Maintains diary and documents claim notes; collaborates with defense counsel on strategy.
