Quantum Sky is hiring a Senior Cloud Security Engineer (AWS & GCP) to join our team of cloud, security, and compliance experts. This role focuses on day-to-day security engineering, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, cloud operations, and security tool management across AWS & GCP environments.

Location: Remote (US). After-hours 24×7 on‑call rotation, incident response, and collaboration with Security Analysts to ensure uninterrupted delivery of security services.

Qualifications

• 6+ years IT engineering or cybersecurity experience.
• 3+ years in dedicated cloud security engineering.
• Hands-on AWS and Google Cloud Platform experience.
• Experience in patching, hardening, IAM and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and security tooling in cloud workflows.
• Ability to work independently during business hours and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Perform system administration, patching, vulnerability scanning, and remediation for cloud workloads.
• Support AWS and GCP environments (Windows/Linux VMs, containers, EC2, S3, Compute Engine, etc.).
• Configure and maintain security tools for endpoint protection, logging, vulnerability scanning, and compliance monitoring.
• Triage and investigate incidents, alerts, and outages; document actions and improvements.
• Implement hardening and compliance controls per CIS, DISA STIGs, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with Security Analysts to deliver security services.
