Job summary

Included Health is seeking a Cloud Engineer on the Security team to mature cloud security posture in AWS with some GCP focus. You will design, implement, and automate controls protecting product infrastructure and PHI in production environments. The role is remote in the United States and reports to the Senior Manager, Security Engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on cloud security with AWS and GCP.
• Strong depth across cloud infra, identity, networking, CI/CD, logging, and security ops.
• Experience building security automation and tooling in Python, Go, Terraform.
• Experience designing access controls including RBAC/ABAC and Just‑in‑Time access.
• Familiarity with HIPAA requirements and related standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and automate cloud security controls across IAM, authorization, Just‑in‑Time access, data access, and platform access.
• Improve AWS and GCP security posture via Terraform guardrails and secure patterns.
• Build security tooling in Python, Go, and Lambda for vulnerability management and PHI logging.
• Secure containers, workloads, and CI/CD pipelines for production use.
• Partner with infra, DevOps, engineering and product teams on sensitive‑data handling and incident response.
• Document controls, standards, automation, and playbooks for secure workflows.
