Job summary

Ad Hoc LLC is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join our Federal Civilian business unit. This role emphasizes delivering cloud networking solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, with strong emphasis on security, monitoring, and automation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and potentially lead small projects. A security-focused mindset and experience with multi-cloud and hybrid networking are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of engineering experience (relevant years of experience may be substituted for education).
• Expert-level knowledge in at least one technical area (frontend, backend, or infrastructure engineering).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates expertise, accountability, and ownership of contributions to an application code base.
• Maintains a high-level understanding of adjacent technical areas to coordinate integration.
• Diagnoses and resolves issues with the systems they own, using incidents to inform improvements.
• Mentors and assists junior engineers in skill development.
• Communicates technical issues and developments with team members and clients.
• Participates in technical interviews with new candidates.
• Proposes and evaluates approaches to technical and process problems.
• May mentor individuals within the team and lead small projects.
• Presents design documents and system diagrams to clients and engineers.
