Job summary

Tripoint Solutions seeks a Cloud Engineer to build, operate, and automate AWS GovCloud infrastructure for a federal education program. You’ll work with the cloud, Salesforce, and data teams to keep environments secure, available, and compliant. Remote location with states supported by corporate offices.

Responsibilities include provisioning AWS GovCloud resources, integrating AWS with Salesforce via MuleSoft, and building data pipelines with AWS Glue. Strong security and RMF experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• ~5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or operations.
• ~Hands-on AWS GovCloud experience.
• ~Hands-on AWS across compute, storage, networking, and identity.
• ~Experience integrating AWS with Salesforce, and MuleSoft experience.
• ~Hands-on AWS Glue experience.
• ~Proficiency with IAM policy design, KMS, and least-privilege access.
• ~Linux system administration.
• ~Python for automation and scripting.
• ~CI/CD pipeline experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and operate AWS GovCloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, VPCs, subnets).
• Build and support integrations between AWS and Salesforce (MuleSoft-based interfaces).
• Build and maintain AWS Glue pipelines for secure data movement.
• Implement S3 lifecycle, tiering, and retention policies.
• Secure data services with least-privilege access, encryption and network isolation.
• Manage IAM policies, KMS, and secrets.
• Integrate security scanning, dependency validation, and CI/CD monitoring.
• Support STIG, RMF, ATO activities and vulnerability remediation on timelines.
• Maintain deployment runbooks and change control artifacts.
• Automate operational tasks using Python.
