This role focuses on architecting robust cloud data infrastructure, optimizing performance and cost, and ensuring high availability and security of data systems while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud data infrastructure or related roles.
• Hands-on with AWS data services (Aurora, RDS, S3, IAM, Lambda, Glue, Athena).
• Strong PostgreSQL/Aurora and Snowflake experience.
• SQL skills and scripting (Python, Shell, etc.).
• Terraform and GitLab for CI/CD pipelines automation.
• Experience optimizing high-throughput data systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure on AWS (Aurora, RDS, S3, Snowflake).
• Operate core data systems across ingestion, transformation, storage, and orchestration.
• Ensure reliability, performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Apply best practices in data modeling, observability, IaC, and CI/CD.
• Support and scale distributed data systems (PostgreSQL/Aurora, Snowflake, Kafka, caching).
• Collaborate with application, analytics, and AI teams for self-service data access.
• Participate in design reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive improvements.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response when required.
