Job summary

Tarkett North America is seeking a Senior Category Manager – Direct Materials to lead category strategy across PVC resin, plasticizers, fillers, and related materials. This role owns Total Cost of Ownership, partners with cross-functional teams, and drives supplier performance, sustainability, and value delivery for North American operations in a remote capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
• 6–10 years in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement, preferably with direct materials.
• Strong understanding of TCO, cost modeling, and contract negotiation.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and Excel cost-modeling skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and operate in a remote capacity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies for PVC, plasticizers, fillers, recycled PVC, PVB, dispersions, and adhesives.
• Lead full category lifecycle from strategy through contracting and supplier management.
• Drive TCO with market intelligence, cost modeling, and benchmarking.
• Build feedstock-to-material cost models to validate pricing and support negotiations.
• Negotiate complex supply agreements and maintain supplier relationships with SRM.
• Manage category KPIs and supplier scorecards to ensure measurable value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing with business goals.
