Harbor is seeking an experienced Business Consultant to join our growing team. You will lead significant portions of complex client engagements and serve as a trusted advisor, focused on regulatory risk management within professional services firms.

You will guide delivery, shape solutions, mentor junior members, and help Harbor elevate delivery methods across process transformation, technology, and data strategy. This is a remote role with Chicago-headquartered preference for hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Experience in a law firm or regulated professional services firm, or consultancy advising such firms.
• Led substantial client workstreams or complex projects in a client-facing environment focused on business process optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, finance, or related field.
• Ability to translate ambiguous challenges into structured, actionable solutions.

Responsabilités

• Lead client workstreams from discovery through implementation, including scoping, requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and adoption.
• Serve as primary day-to-day client contact, building trusted relationships with stakeholders.
• Translate complex requirements into scalable process, technology, data, and operating-model recommendations.
• Develop and manage consulting plans, timelines, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and status reporting.
• Analyze current-state processes, systems, and data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Guide solution configuration, data migration planning, testing, QA, and change-management activities.
• Identify and manage delivery risks, issues, and escalations; recommend course corrections.
• Create executive-ready materials communicating findings and outcomes.
• Partner with sales on scoping conversations, estimates, and approaches when needed.
• Contribute to Harbor’s consulting methodology and quality standards.
