Job summary
CMiT is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support an Agile software team delivering mission-focused solutions for federal clients. You will translate complex business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and collaborate with stakeholders, PO, developers, and QA to ensure delivery.
Ideal candidates have 6+ years in business analysis, strong communication, and experience with Jira/Confluence, AWS, React, Node.js, and GitLab in a government-facing environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; six+ years in BA/TA roles.
- Experience translating business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with Jira/Confluence to manage requirements and Agile delivery.
- Experience with AWS cloud environments and software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation and management of requirements.
- Translate objectives into user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria and processes.
- Facilitate interviews, workshops, backlog refinement and stakeholder sessions.
- Ensure requirements are clear, testable, traceable and aligned to objectives; support prioritization.
- Collaborate with Agile teams; participate in planning and ceremonies; clarify acceptance criteria.
- Create Jira items; support release planning and communication of risks and dependencies.
