Job summary

TaskUs is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join our remote team. You will own pipeline engineering, ensure data quality, and partner with BI and Data Science teams to deliver reliable, feature-ready datasets.

You will work across a modern lakehouse stack using Databricks or Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and containerized tooling. This is a remote, international role with focus on scalable, cost-aware data infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Engineering.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Hands-on experience with modern lakehouse stacks (Databricks/Delta Lake or Snowflake).
• Strong experience with dbt, CI/CD, and data modeling as software.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-throughput ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting data into lakehouse.
• Drive the adoption of dbt for transformations and PySpark for heavy lifting.
• Implement data SLAs and build monitoring/alerting for data quality and pipeline reliability.
• Collaborate with BI and Data Science teams to deliver feature-ready datasets.
• Tune SQL and Spark plans to reduce cost and latency.
