Job summary

NERHA is seeking a Senior Behavioral Health Program Manager to lead the Rural Opioid Technical Assistance Center and related rural health initiatives. The role requires remote work with regular travel across six New England states and occasional national travel.

Salary anticipated at $75,000–$85,000 with generous benefits. Responsibilities include strategic program leadership, TA provision, SME leadership in Behavioral Health/SUD, grant compliance, and workforce development through internships

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Clinical Behavioral Health, Public Health, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in grant-funded program management with supervision experience.
• Experience integrating clinical and community-based wraparound services in rural settings.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong written/oral communications.
• Strong budget development, expense tracking, and financial monitoring skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and cloud-based document systems.
• Experience with contracts/grants management and administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive project management and strategic direction for ROTA and other rural health initiatives.
• Offer technical assistance in behavioral health and SUD/OUD to rural organizations.
• Serve as the lead SME for Behavioral Health and SUD/OUD within NERHA.
• Coordinate partnerships and lead program advisory committees.
• Oversee grant reports, data collection, and documentation for funding agreements and grants.
• Design and manage internship and clerkship programs for workforce development.
