Job summary

Partner company seeks a Senior Backend Developer to design and implement robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot for a global business aviation platform.

You will work across distributed systems, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures, applying LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows to automate and enhance backend capabilities. This is a remote-first, international role with collaboration across product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• At least six years of Java backend development experience.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot 2.x/3.x and Hibernate 5.x/6.x.
• Experience building scalable distributed systems and REST APIs.
• Solid PostgreSQL and data modeling skills.
• Hands-on with event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar.
• Familiar with LLM-based workflows and RAG pipelines.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot.
• Development tooling: Git, Maven, testing and debugging skills.
• Strong English communication (B2+).
• Knowledge of MCP, autonomous agents, or multi-agent workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Own features from requirements to testing, deployment, and improvement.
• Build and maintain REST APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Develop distributed services with reliable inter-service communication.
• Implement asynchronous processing and event-driven workflows (Kafka).
• Design relational data models in PostgreSQL and use Hibernate effectively.
• Apply LLMs and agentic AI techniques to backend capabilities and automation.
• Adopt AI-powered tools while ensuring code quality, tests, and security.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into solutions.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and development efficiency.
