Ellipsis Health in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale the core systems powering our conversational AI platform.

You will focus on TypeScript-based backend services and APIs, own production reliability, data pipelines for healthcare data, and secure integrations, collaborating with AI/ML engineers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver secure, reliable, and performant solutions.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional backend experience with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js for backend and API development.
• Experience designing/consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, and system design.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containers (Docker/Kubernetes).

Mansioni

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end features across TypeScript-based backend services.
• Architect scalable APIs and microservices to support conversational AI workflows and healthcare integrations.
• Own services in production, including deployment, monitoring, incident response, and reliability improvements.
• Lead database schemas and data pipelines for structured and unstructured healthcare data.
• Ensure secure integrations with healthcare systems and implement authentication/authorization.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and observability for production services.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
