Job summary

Cognizant seeks an AWS WorkSpaces Migration Architect to lead large-scale EUC transformation and VDI migrations to AWS WorkSpaces. You will design, architect, and deliver secure, scalable environments while driving migration strategy, image engineering, automation, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS WorkSpaces, Terraform, FSLogix, CI/CD automation, image management, and client-facing architectural guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 14+ years of EUC/VDI/Desktop Virtualization experience.
• 8+ years with AWS cloud services and AWS WorkSpaces.
• Proven experience leading large-scale desktop migration and workplace modernization initiatives.
• Strong client-facing consulting and architecture experience.
• Experience in enterprise-scale environments with thousands of virtual desktop users.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end discovery, assessment, dependency mapping, sizing, and migration planning for AWS WorkSpaces transformations.
• Define migration roadmaps, pilots, waves, cutover strategies, and rollback procedures.
• Architect and optimize AWS WorkSpaces environments (Persistent and Non-Persistent).
• Design desktop pool strategies, security standards, and operational objectives.
• Develop scalable architectures including capacity planning, HA, and DR.
• Implement user profile persistence using FSLogix and related technologies.
• Create Terraform IaC modules for AWS WorkSpaces and supporting services.
• Design automated CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline).
• Enable GitOps deployments with automated testing and compliance validation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and knowledge transfer.
