Job summary

Cerity Partners Encino seeks an experienced accounting professional at Manager or Senior level. This role centers on compiling, reviewing, and auditing financial statements with GAAP and tax basis reporting for real estate, partnerships, trusts, and private foundations.

Audit experience is essential, with preference for candidates with private industry background and hands-on accounting skills. The position offers remote or hybrid work with Encino office optional for in-person collaboration,

Qualifications

• CPA (or CPA candidate with strong and relevant experience).
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in public accounting, with hands-on experience (audit, review, compilation).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and income tax basis financial reporting (real estate, partnerships).
• Hands-on experience preparing complex financial statements and footnotes.
• Experience with private foundations or not-for-profit audits is a plus.
• Willingness to work overtime during tax seasons.

Responsibilities

• Prepare compiled, reviewed, and audited financial statements — GAAP and income tax basis.
• Prepare personal financial statements for high net-worth individuals.
• Coordinate and support audited financial statements for private foundations (GAAP ASC 958).
• Apply GAAP to complex real estate and partnership structures, consolidations, and equity-method investments.
• Perform audit fieldwork under AICPA standards and prepare compilations and reviews with workpapers.
• Manage engagements from planning through completion with minimal supervision.
• Maintain high quality standards and meet engagement deadlines, including tax seasons.
• Actively manage client relationships and deliver responsive service.
• Use Office 365 for reporting and collaboration.
• Support flexible remote/hybrid work schedule with overtime as needed.
