Job summary

Cerity Partners is seeking an Audit and Accounting Manager/ Senior to join our Encino team. This role focuses on compiling, reviewing, and auditing financial statements for complex entities, especially real estate and partnerships, with exposure to personal financial statements and private foundations.

The ideal candidate has CPA credentials, strong GAAP knowledge, and experience with multi-tier structures, with a preference for those familiar with AICPA AU-C and SSARS standards.

Qualifications

• CPA (or CPA candidate) with strong and relevant experience.
• 5–7 years of public accounting experience, with hands-on prep experience.
• 3–5 years of hands-on audit, review, and compilation experience with financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare compiled, reviewed, and audited financial statements for complex real estate and partnership entities.
• Prepare personal financial statements for high net-worth individuals.
• Prepare and support audited financial statements for private foundations (GAAP ASC 958).
• Apply GAAP to real estate and partnership structures (ASC 810, 323; 970, 360; 842; 820; 946; ASC 850).
• Perform audit fieldwork under AU-C and compile/review under SSARS.
• Conduct research and forensic special projects; reconstruct records and reconcile accounts.
• Review client bookkeeping and adjust entries as needed.
• Manage engagements from planning through completion with minimal supervision.
• Maintain deadlines and provide high-quality service; overtime during tax seasons.
