Job summary

Radicle Health is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to join our remote, mission-driven team. You will architect security tooling and embed secure practices across our 10 SaaS platforms, collaborating with development and operations.

You'll lead vulnerability management, perform internal pen tests, and create threat models while leveraging AI to automate workflows. Strong communication and risk-based prioritization are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years scripting and development experience for web applications.
• 2-3 years cloud engineering experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS).
• Familiarity with Claude AI and AI automation tools.
• NIST and HIPAA experience a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to assess and prioritize technical risk.
• Knowledge of security best practices and standards (OWASP/ASVS, S-SDLC, BSIMM).
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical collaborators.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives and projects to enhance security in application development processes.
• Improve tools and technologies to strengthen security posture and scalability.
• Conduct internal penetration testing and code reviews.
• Lead and mature vulnerability management program.
• Create, update, and maintain threat models across software projects.
• Leverage AI to automate workflows and build efficiencies.
• Advise on secure coding practices and remediation with developers.
• Draft communications on security project status for leadership support.
• Develop security training materials for internal teams.
• Lead incident response.
