Job summary

Basecamp Consulting and Solutions LLC seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Integration Engineer to secure and integrate the Customer's enterprise API gateway and drive it through RMF to a signed ATO.

The role combines hands-on security engineering at the API boundary with ownership of the SSP and continuous monitoring to sustain authorization, requiring an active MBI at start and U.S. citizenship for customer clearance.

Qualifications

• Active MBI and transferability as of start date.
• U.S. citizenship required for Customer contractor staff.
• Eight years of hands-on cybersecurity or integration engineering on enterprise API gateway or boundary security.
• Experience writing System Security Plans and RMF/Audits.

Responsibilities

• Design and enforce API security policy: authentication, authorization, token validation, rate limiting, payload validation, threat protection.
• Manage TLS/mutual TLS, certificate lifecycle across environments.
• Onboard applications, vendors, and SaaS services coordinating network changes.
• Integrate gateway with enterprise identity and federation services.
• Harden gateway and hosts to STIG/SCAP and feed telemetry to SIEM.
• Maintain SSP and control narratives per NIST 800-53 Rev 5.
• Run RMF package to ATO: evidence, walkthroughs, findings resolution.
• Sustain continuous monitoring and POA&M closure.
• Perform security impact analysis on changes across layers.
