Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior API Automation Engineer (AWS & AI Testing) to design scalable API automation solutions and advance intelligent testing practices across cloud-native applications. You will collaborate with developers, architects, business teams, and other technology stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery.

In this role, you will build frameworks using Java, Rest Assured, TestNG, Maven, and Postman, automate REST API validation across microservices, and apply AI tools

Qualifications

• 10+ years in quality engineering or software testing with API automation.
• Expert in API automation frameworks using Java, Rest Assured, TestNG, Maven, and Postman.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices testing, JSON and XML validation, OAuth and JWT authentication.
• Experience integrating automated tests with Git, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable API automation frameworks.
• Automate REST API validation across integration, regression, and end-to-end testing for microservices.
• Apply AI agents and generative AI tools to support test generation and self-healing automation.
• Validate API contracts, JSON/XML schemas, OAuth/JWT authentication, and database integrations.
