Job summary

Absci is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead AI Research and Development initiatives, guiding cross-functional teams of AI/ML researchers, software engineers, and wet-lab scientists to build delivery platforms for biologics.

You will own roadmaps, drive strategy, and align stakeholders across AI and biologics teams. This role offers remote US work with hybrid options in Vancouver, WA and New York City, NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, bioinformatics, data science, engineering, life sciences, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in production-grade software or technical product development.
• 3+ years in AI/ML and/or protein engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge enabling collaboration with engineers and scientists.
• Proven track record of delivering product roadmaps and high-impact work.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across diverse teams.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Gather and translate product requirements from AI, Engineering, and Wet Lab teams; align with leadership on strategy.
• Own roadmaps with decisive prioritization and risk trade-offs.
• Partner with diverse managers to define a cohesive product vision.
• Build roadmaps, backlogs, and execution plans; define OKRs and KPIs; track performance.
• Lead cross-functional teams from conception to deployment and optimization.
• Conduct user research to understand needs and opportunities.
• Drive adoption and deployment within internal programs and external partnerships.
