Job summary

Arize AI is hiring for a Backend Engineer to join our scalable distributed services powering the ML observability platform. Teams work primarily in Go, Python, and TypeScript, with opportunities across Java and other services.

You will help build high-volume analytics, APIs for ML workflows, and scalable backend components that drive the Arize product. We value cloud familiarity (AWS/GCP/Azure) and Kubernetes, with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and collaboration with customer

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building high-performance backend systems.
• Experience with Go, Python, TypeScript/Node, Java or similar server languages.
• Interest in AI/LLM ecosystem and learning emerging technologies.
• Experience operating complex SaaS platforms.
• Knowledge of public clouds and container orchestration (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Write maintainable, scalable backend code in Go, Python, and TypeScript.
• Build high-volume, highly available analytics systems.
• Design APIs for ML/LLM workflows.
• Prototype and maintain backend services powering the platform.
• Extend open-source OLAP databases and distributed queues.
• Develop collection tools for monitoring ML/LLM pipelines.
• Research visualization and dimensionality reduction in distributed environments.
• Collaborate with product/design/customer teams to expand offerings.
• Contribute to in-house AI Agents development.
