Job summary

Standard & Poor's Financial Services LLC seeks a Lead Data Scientist to design and build custom ML, NLP, and LLM solutions for batch and streaming pipelines. You will architect data ingestion, preprocessing, search, RAG, and prompt engineering, using PyTorch, Transformers, and LangChain.

Collaborate across data science, MLOps, and technology groups to align with business needs. You will evaluate model performance, optimize for production efficiency, and deploy in cloud environments (AWS / Google

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related IT field with 3+ years of experience in ML/AI.
• Strong Python experience with ML frameworks and libraries (PyTorch, Transformers, LangChain).
• Experience with LLM architectures (GPT, BERT, T5) and fine-tuning for domain use.
• NLP solutions with traditional and transformer-based approaches, including embeddings.
• Experience in information retrieval, text generation, summarization, classification, QA, and entity extraction.
• Proven ability to scope, plan, and execute complex ML projects with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of ML/GAI/NLP/LLM solutions for batch and streaming pipelines.
