Job summary

prolificacademic ltd invites Senior AI and ML Engineers to join a remote, flexible contributor network that trains and evaluates large language models for AI researchers and developers. Tasks are short, focused, and paid per task, leveraging deep technical expertise rather than full-time employment.

Contributors work remotely with flexible hours, and onboarding begins with a 10–15 minute skills assessment before joining the network. Rates reach up to $80 per hour for in-demand expertise.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Robotics, or related quantitative field with ML focus.
• Hands-on experience building, deploying, or fine-tuning ML models in production.
• Knowledge of Transformer, CNNs, and RNNs; modern optimization techniques.
• Experience with prompt engineering, RLHF, or retrieval-augmented generation workflows.
• Ability to audit complex model logic and detect data contamination.
• Attention to detail in spotting hallucinations or biased outputs in AI content.

Responsibilities

• Review explanations of model architectures, loss functions, and backpropagation for technical accuracy.
• Audit ML code and notebooks, including training loops and pipelines, for correctness and efficiency.
• Provide structured feedback to refine RLHF frameworks and model alignment.
• Analyze how models handle chain-of-thought prompts and identify reasoning breakdowns.
• Run benchmark tests across model outputs using defined metrics.
