Job summary

Kinetic is transforming workers’ comp with technology-driven solutions and a remote-first team based in New York City. We seek an experienced actuary (ACAS required) to own pricing analysis, portfolio monitoring, and model stewardship within the Actuarial & Analytics team.

This high-visibility role collaborates with data scientists and underwriters to influence pricing decisions and strategy. The role focuses on end-to-end ownership of express-quote and renewal-tiering models, with opportunities

Qualifications

ACAS (Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society) required, or near-credential with exams in progress; FCAS welcome.
5–10 years of actuarial experience in P&C insurance.
Workers’ compensation or commercial lines experience strongly preferred.
Prior MGA/insurtech or specialty carrier experience a plus.
Proven ability to present actuarial findings to underwriting, finance, or carrier partners.

Responsibilities

Lead pricing analysis for new and renewal business, including exposure rating and loss development.
Monitor portfolio end-to-end: analyze loss ratios, claim frequency, and severity by segment.
Deliver carrier-facing reporting, including slides and bordereaux.
Write and maintain SQL queries and actuarial models in Excel/Python; ensure data quality.
Own model stewardship: validate, refresh, and document express-quote and renewal-tiering models.
