Nationwide Financial is seeking a Senior Actuarial Consultant to join the Valuation team, focusing on Group Benefits valuation including Group Health and Stop Loss. The role analyzes claims data, establishes reserves, and communicates conclusions to business leaders and cross-functional partners.

You will develop and maintain actuarial models, support statutory valuation, and collaborate across Reserving, Finance, IT, and Underwriting.

Qualifications

• Typically four to seven years of actuarial experience.
• ASA designation and active enrollment in the Actuarial Development Program; pursuing FSA.
• Experience with actuarial valuation, loss reserving, financial reporting, or related insurance analytics.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with Excel-based actuarial models.
• Ability to explain complex actuarial concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative, self-directed approach and adaptability in a changing environment.

Responsabilités

• Compiles, categorizes, and analyzes sophisticated data sets.
• Builds testing tools and conducts detailed analysis of product calculations.
• Constructs, maintains, and performs Actuarial, Projection, and Valuation Models.
• Builds financial reporting tools and completes analysis.
• Prices and implements products.
• Conducts complicated risk analysis.
