Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) is seeking an experienced finance professional to oversee the accounting operations, ensuring timely month-end close, accurate reporting, and strong internal controls across the consolidated entity.

You will partner with Corporate and finance leadership, drive process improvements, and mentor a team while interfacing with audits and business partners. This remote role may require occasional travel to UNFI locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a finance related discipline (Accounting, Finance).
• 5+ years in accounting/finance with leadership experience.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, and controls.
• Collaborate with FP&A and business partners on analytics and reporting.
• Drive process improvements to automate and streamline accounting ops.
• Lead cross-functional audits and external/ internal audits coordination.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff for succession and efficiency.
