HigherOptions is seeking a highly analytical Senior Accountant to support financial and accounting operations for a U.S.-based hospitality and events group. The role emphasizes QuickBooks Online expertise, accurate classification, and reliable reporting across multiple entities.

You will review monthly results, identify fluctuations, and collaborate with founders to provide clear financial insights while coordinating with U.S.-based teams. Remote work with overlap to U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent is a plus.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• 2+ years in a senior-level accounting role.
• Experience in U.S. companies or American-aligned environments.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting practice.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain accurate accounting records in QuickBooks Online.
• Review and classify transactions with impact on P&L and balance sheet.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements across entities.
• Analyze month-over-month results and flag unusual fluctuations.
• Reconcile bank, balance sheet, intercompany accounts and key ledgers.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Support payroll review and reporting across entities.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting and forecasting needs.
• Maintain inventory, COGS, fixed assets and general ledger records.
• Assist with tax compliance and audit readiness.
