Job summary

Hunter Hamilton is seeking a Senior Accountant for a 6-month assignment to support their client's accounting department. This role is 100% remote with working hours in the Central Time Zone and some overtime may be required.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; senior experience; hands-on month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting. Sage or Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is preferred, and prior retail or manufacturing exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree is a plus.
• Senior Accountant experience; Manager-level candidates welcome if hands-on and detail-oriented.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and hands-on accounting responsibilities.
• Strong general accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership with minimal supervision.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• Experience with fixed assets is a plus.
• Sage or Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) experience preferred.
• Experience in a retail or manufacturing environment preferred.
