Job summary

The Virginia Commonwealth University Academic Internships Office seeks a (Senior) Academic Internship Program Specialist to provide advanced coordination and leadership for student-facing internship processes that support undergraduates in navigating, securing, and completing credit-bearing internships.

You will deliver direct student advising, manage placement coordination, enrollment tracking, outreach, and documentation, and collaborate with Career Services, academic units, and employers as

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong advising, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit students through outreach, presentations, and informational sessions.
• Collaborate with office staff, academic units, and campus partners to support access to internship opportunities.
