Qualifications

• College education or equivalent experience in self-funded benefits, data analytics, or insurance.
• Indiana Life and Health insurance license is required.
• 3-5 years' experience in self-funded benefits with a focus on data analysis and risk management.
• Strong analytical skills to translate claims data into actionable recommendations.
• Experience with stop‑loss coverage and cost containment strategies.
• Proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with agents to provide guidance on self-funded accounts, offering data insights and recommendations.
• Analyze detailed claims data to identify trends and high-cost claims in self-funded plans.
• Prepare and present reports with actionable insights for agents and clients.
• Evaluate risk profiles and recommend stop‑loss coverage levels based on risks.
• Assist in optimizing benefit designs using data insights to control costs.
• Compare plan performance against benchmarks and suggest adjustments.
• Suggest cost-saving measures and identify alternative treatments while maintaining quality care.
• Oversee claims monitoring and ensure accuracy in reporting for self-funded accounts.
• Build relationships with stop‑loss carriers, TPAs, and partners.
• Train newer agents on self-funding concepts and available reports.
• Develop efficiencies in the self-funded space to free up producer time.
