Job summary

Maximus is actively seeking a Security Solutions Architect to serve as a technical security partner across AI, Enterprise Architecture, and Business Development teams. This remote role supports high-visibility initiatives while guiding secure design decisions and ensuring alignment with security standards.

You will engage early, influence architecture decisions, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to protect information assets and regulatory compliance across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
• 7+ years of experience in information technology.
• 5+ years in Security Architecture and/or Security Engineering.
• Experience with US Federal government security architecture.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud security.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide security architecture guidance to solution owners across OCTO and Business Development teams.
• Act as a technical ISO stakeholder in Enterprise Risk and Assurance activities.
• Translate security requirements, standards, and controls into actionable guidance for stakeholders.
• Identify architectural and solution-level security risks and define mitigating controls.
• Communicate upcoming initiatives, solution designs, and security/compliance considerations to ISO leadership.
• Ensure designs align with enterprise security standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Document security architecture decisions, risks, and exceptions to support audits.
• Identify recurring architectural risk patterns and escalate to ISO leadership for remediation.
