Job summary

Capgemini Government Solutions LLC is seeking a Security Engineer – Operational Support to strengthen security operations for federal clients. You will monitor, respond to incidents, and support enterprise cybersecurity tooling and governance.

You will work with cross-functional teams to improve security posture, perform threat analysis, and maintain documentation and runbooks, with focus on DoD clearance requirements and compliant practices.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret Clearance required or ability to obtain
• 5+ years in SOC or security engineering environment
• Experience supporting large enterprise cybersecurity operations
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, security monitoring, and incident response methodologies
• Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC, SOX, PCI-DSS

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and support enterprise security technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, malware protection)
• Respond to security incidents and alerts per procedures
• Triage and manage service management requests
• Configure and optimize security tools, detections, and alerts
• Troubleshoot security infrastructure and support audit/compliance activities
• Support ITSM processes (incident, problem, change)
• Analyze network traffic and endpoint telemetry to identify threats
• Develop and maintain security docs, standards, and playbooks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security posture
