Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking a Product Security Engineer to partner with engineers, assess security risk, and enable secure-by-design products. You will work with the Secure Design team, reporting to the Manager of Secure Design, to review early decisions, develop threat models, and scale impact via automation.

You will guide secure architecture design, reduce organizational risk, and empower engineers to make informed security decisions across the product.

Qualifications

• Experience leading architectural changes to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Ability to clearly communicate security topics and actionable direction.
• Partnered with internal engineering teams to tackle security problems.
• Knowledge of modern development concepts (virtualization, containers, CI/CD).

Responsibilities

• Threat model applications and provide security risk assessments.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, and engineers on secure architectures.
• Provide remediation guidance to development teams.
